Challenge Yourself & Monitor Grades
Take challenging courses and track your grades on Skyward routinely. Keeping your grades up will give you more options with regards to college and scholarship opportunities.

Get Involved
Check announcements and the EHS website daily for updates and upcoming events and get involved! Participate in school activities - sports, clubs, volunteer, etc. or community based organizations or community service projects.

- Transcript
Review your transcript / credit audit to make sure you are on target to graduate. Sign up to see counselor to explore options to retrieve credit(s) if necessary.

Research Interests
Continue researching interesting careers and post-secondary schools (colleges) using Schoolinks.
Finalize your list of colleges or vocational schools. Review applications and informational materials.
- ACT / SAT
Sat / Act Testing Is Being Waived / Not Required By Many College Admissions.
Take the ACT Test and / or the SAT test IF you are planning to attend a four-year college or university that requires it and IF you did not take it as a Junior and / or you want to retake it. Take a practice test or get testing taking tips from 4Tests or Khan Academy.

Order your graduation announcements and CAP and GOWN with the Josten's representative during their campus visit.
- Resume
Update your Resume.
- College Essays
Begin working on college essays (most often required for four-year schools)
- College Applications
Start the college application process to the colleges / vocational schools that you have chosen.
Prepare your application carefully and completely. - Don't forget to pay attention to the DEADLINES and APPLICATION fees, especially if you are applying for an Early Decision (ED) or Early Action (EA). Learn more about Early Decision and Early Action.
- Financial Aid
Attend Financial Aid Night with your parents.
Complete FAFSA online or the WASFA.
- Letters of Recommendation
Think of who you will ask for a letter of recommendation. Consider asking teachers, counselors, coaches, mentors, bosses, etc. Make sure to have at least three letters of recommendations and ask at least two weeks in advance.
- Scholarships
Start applying for scholarships! Be sure to check our Scholarship Page frequently.

College Bound Scholarship
Review the College Bound Scholarship pledge requirements (if applicable). This is a scholarship opportunity that you must have signed up for by the end of your eighth grade year. If you have any questions, Schedule a Meeting with Mr. Mills.

Attend college presentations at EHS
See the counseling office for dates and schools.
- Senior Pictures
Submit your Senior Pictures. DUE BY December 1

High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP) – Schoolinks
Revisit, update and finalize your High School and Beyond Plan (HSBP) before fall conferences.

College & Career Fair
Plan to attend the College & Career Fair to learn more about two-year and four-year college admissions and programs, trade / technical programs, military options are more.
- NCAA Clearinghouse
Create an account and become familiar with the NCAA Clearinghouse IF you are interested in playing Division 1 or Division 2 sports.
- Transcripts
Request transcripts to be sent to colleges.
- Selective Service
Register for the Selective Service. Most men are required by law to register when they turn 18. If you do not register, you will not be eligible for federal student aid.

Get a job to begin saving money for college/technical school as well as gain skills and references to put on a resume.

- College Placement
Take a college placement test IF attending a two-year community college. Contact the two-year school directly to discuss their process, timelines and the fees that may be involved.
