We’re excited to welcome students and families back for Ephrata High School Orientation on Monday, August 31 and Tuesday, September 1! This year, we’ve designed Orientation to help families take care of almost everything students need before the first day of school and we hope parents and caregivers will join us!
NEW THIS YEAR: SCHOOL PICTURES AT ORIENTATION!

Instead of waiting for picture day during the school year, students can come to Orientation picture-ready and get their school picture and ID taken before classes even begin. No pictures after PE, lunch, or a long day of classes! 

Picture Hours:
📅 Monday, August 31: 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
📅 Tuesday, September 1: 11:00 AM–5:00 PM

FREE FAMILY TACO DINNER BOTH DAYS!

Thanks to WSU GEAR UP and La Cierrita, we’ll also have a FREE taco bar for students and their families from 4:30–6:30 PM both days. Come take care of back-to-school business, get important information, and let us take care of dinner!

REQUIRED HOMEROOM MEETING

  • Every EHS student must attend a 20-minute meeting with their homeroom teacher. Families should use Skyward to sign up for an appointment time.
  • These meetings are part of Orientation and count toward student attendance and Tiger Day extended-lunch eligibility.
  • This requirement includes all EHS students, including students participating in Running Start, ALE, and Open Doors.
WHILE YOU’RE HERE, GET IT DONE!

Families will be able to:
  • Take school pictures & receive student IDs
  • Purchase ASB cards
  • Purchase yearbooks
  • Purchase PE uniforms
  • Visit the Information Fair
  • Complete annual updates & surveys
  • Meet teachers
  • Ask questions and get help before school starts

❤️ PARENTS: THIS ONE IS FOR YOU!

On Monday, August 31 from 4:00–6:00 PM in the EHS Library, we’ll offer Healthy Students Parent Information Sessions focused on issues that matter to families of high school students, including:
  • Social media
  • Mental health
  • Substance use
  • Resources and strategies for supporting healthy teens
We hope parents and caregivers will take advantage of this opportunity to learn, ask questions, and connect with resources.

Our goal is simple: help every student and family start the year informed, connected, prepared, and ready to go.

In-person instruction begins Thursday, September 3.
